Don't Get Towed

I was standing on the corner outside of Grumpy's Bar this morning, waiting for a friend to pick me up and take me to Ideal Diner so we could gorge ourselves on steak and eggs and hashbrowns. The sky was cloudless, the sun incredibly warm for this time of year. Somewhere out west a storm front is slowly building, which could drop snow on us over the weekend. Every winter my motto is the same: don't get towed. The Minneapolis impound lot is a tired, angry place I don't ever wish to visit again.

Basilica, Take Two

A few days ago I posted a different shot of the Basilica of Saint Mary. That same day I captured this image from a little camera in a speeding car. I'm liking this one better tonight.
