Don't Get Towed

I was standing on the corner outside of Grumpy's Bar this morning, waiting for a friend to pick me up and take me to Ideal Diner so we could gorge ourselves on steak and eggs and hashbrowns. The sky was cloudless, the sun incredibly warm for this time of year. Somewhere out west a storm front is slowly building, which could drop snow on us over the weekend. Every winter my motto is the same: don't get towed. The Minneapolis impound lot is a tired, angry place I don't ever wish to visit again.

Ride Around Shining

I had exactly one hour to kill yesterday afternoon. The sun was low in the sky as it is wont to do this time of year, and the afternoon was unseasonably warm. I put a 50mm lens on my camera and set out.

¡Satorialismo!

I'd like to think that I could slip in the following photo onto Scott Schuman's fantastic street fashion photography blog, The Satorialist and his legion of followers would be none the wiser. Until then, I've coined a new term for such street fashion photos: "satorialismo."
